A monument to Sibelius.
Last Friday I spent in Helsinki in a rather unusual company for me - the retired teachers of Jõgeva. Well, it´s time to get used to it, to be a pensioner. Ha-ha! First of all I´d become one. I certainly will, in 27 days.
I have been to Helsinki rather often but never as a tourist. This time we had a tour guide and we drove around in Helsinki and its surroundings. Lots of places I´d visited before but not all of them we were shown + our guide Jaak, an elderly man, knew many truly interesting stories and legends in addition to facts he told us.
The weather was absolutely beautiful, sunny and not hot which was good for travelling. A 24-hour day was rather tiring but interesting. Pictures later!
